Vanessa Trump is the wife of Donald Trump Jr. and the daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump. The former Vanessa Haydon, 38, is a designer and the mother of five children.
Ivana married Donald in April 1977 and later gave birth to three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric. Before the couple’s 1992 divorce, the former model, who was born in the region then known as Czechoslovakia, became a fixture in NYC’s social scene and worked as an interior design consultant for her husband’s company. She later married Riccardo Mazzucchelli and Rossano Rubicondi, but both of those unions also ended in divorce.
“Ivanka is very smart and meticulous. She’d be successful anywhere in New York,” says Michael Ashner, whose Winthrop Realty Trust sold the Trumps Doral for $170 million in 2011. “In a room full of testosterone, she can keep her cool.”
People who have worked with Trump’s children say that they handle the details of many of the company’s deals and projects. (A representative for the Trump organization declined on behalf of the children to participate in this story.) The Trumps—both this generation and their father—are said to be more hands-on than many developers, weighing in on design and construction matters that others might delegate.
Actress and model Maples had an affair with Donald while he was still married to first wife Ivana. In October 1993, two months before they tied the knot at the Plaza Hotel in New York, the couple welcomed daughter Tiffany. Maples and Donald split in 1997 and divorced in 1999. Maples reemerged in the spotlight in 2016 as she competed on season 22 of Dancing With the Stars with partner Tony Dovolani before finishing in 10th place.
Donald and Maryanne are two of five children born to the late Fred and Mary Trump. Their other siblings are Fred Jr., Elizabeth and Robert; Fred Jr. died of alcoholism in 1981. Like Donald, Fred Sr. was a real estate mogul prior to his June 1999 death.
